Interesting book. A series of Thirteen half-hour Television programs.This series intended to dramatize and to clarify the role of Chicago-in the history and development of traditional jazz. Mostly text. Photo of young Studs on the cover and a close up shot of him and last page Terkel joined the Works Progress Administration's Federal Writers' Project in the 50's This book is circa 50's. Includes Armstrong, Freedman, Willie Dixon, Muddy Waters and Aberta Hunter among others. No photo's but some background on these musicians. About 40 pages. Small piece of tape holding the cover together to spine. Seems to be a rare title. Bookseller Inventory # 000851
