Publisher's original gray cloth, letter on the spine and front cover in brown, original yellow pictorial dust jacket, lg 8vo. From the series, The Chimpanzee, volumes 1, 4, 5. Each volume contains numerous chapters by noted authorities in the field. Volumes 2, 3 and 6 were also published but they are no offered here. Volume 1 has the signature of Alan James on the front endpaper, there are no ownership marks in the other volumes.
