About this Item

Paperback. 340 pages. Dimensions: 9.0in. x 6.0in. x 1.0in.This story shows just how vulnerable and dangerous a career in the navy is at such a young age. It follows the life aboard a new anti-submarine frigate and Barney a sixteen-year-old naive engineer. Very fast moving and filled to the brim with out-of-control situations, often sexual but not always. You will laugh and learn with him and the crew, and you will surely cry with him alone. What is a Chocolate Frog Learn as Barney did, outrageously and unexpectedly and then learn how he used it to its best advantage. Because he is so young he pays the price with his adolescence, forfeiting it for ever. The truly mans mans world he has entered gives no space to learn and grow, as he is pitched in to port life and red-light areas head first. He has the advantage of meeting an attractive older woman who sets him on the right path early in his sexual conquests but the sordid existence of dockside vice often makes degrading fools of shipmates and at times himself. This is the first of three stories as the boy becomes a man then a captain of industry putting all his experiences to the ultimate test. This item ships from multiple locations.
