About this title

Synopsis:

With Choose Your Destiny, you will gain the knowledge, tools, and mindset that will enable you to determine what it is in life you wish to obtain, a pathway to fulfilling that vision, and the understanding of how to persist in acquiring it. Science has come a long way in uncovering how we operate and why and that knowledge is distilled in this book. By understanding how the mind works in layman's terms, you will incorporate powerful behaviors into your life that are fundamental to your success. You will learn the significance of planning and a powerful way to plan, and the skills and mindset that are the underpinnings of critical thinking. From the housewife to the Fortune 500 CEO, this book will help strengthen the clarity of what it means to be a human being, and how to live your life with grand purpose - if you so choose.

About the Author:

Steven Kiefel’s career at NASA began in early January of 1984 working as an intern for a prominent experimental psychologist who was defining the science behind Human Factors. Shortly after he was hired at NASA, President Ronald Reagan announced the formation of the International Space Station (ISS) project and the psychologist Steven worked for was named Chief of Human Factors for the project. The factors contributed to the success of the organization two hundred and fifty miles in space were factors Steven believed could and should be implemented in organizations on terra firma. From those beginnings, Steven committed to being a student of human behavior into the organizations that he became a part of. It is knowledge and gained experience, sharpened in the environments of NASA and the tough competitiveness of the private sector, that Steven imbues throughout Choose Your Destiny. Steven’s 18-year career at NASA included managing the IT infrastructure at NASA Ames Research Center and taking the reins of a government contracting company, Recom Technologies, Inc. In 2001, Steven elected to take the risk of jumping from the relatively safe confines of the world of government and move into the private sector. After becoming CEO of Red Pill Media, Inc., a graphics design firm, Steven realized for all the many years of being in management, he was among other things a teacher and a coach. He realized his passion was to share with others the concepts he learned and implemented that allowed the organizations he ran to excel. With that in mind, Steven developed a course, Choose Your Destiny, and from that coursework and much more research he was able to write Choose Your Destiny. Steven brings his knowledge, experience, and passion into this course and book that allows people to understand effectively what it takes to chart their own agenda in life, and even more importantly execute on that agenda. In addition to being a coach Steven is Co-founder and CEO of RHC Software, Inc, a software startup company with big ambitions. The insights he has gathered as a coach has been strengthened by the experience of growing a software company from day one. What Steven teaches and lectures is not mere popcorn theory, but axioms he himself puts into practice daily. Steven has often remarked that a key reason for writing Choose Your Destiny was first and foremost the need for his own ongoing education and striving to walk his own agenda for the rest of his life.
