About this Item

Wraps. 30 pp. A piece outlining civil liberties entitled to those in the United States, discussing laws and Supreme Court rulings, as well as actions that are allowed. This primarily pertains to protestors, presumably from unions and other labor groups, mentioning the right to picket, hand out leaflets, etc. The Congress of Industrial Organizations grew out of dissatisfaction with those unions and members of the AFL, forming a separate group in the mid 1930s that focused on the plight of industrial laborers and not just union craftsmen. The AFL and CIO joined together in the mid-1950s. GOOD condition. Minor general toning and soiling. Pencil notation on the upper front cover. Minor curling along the edges. Small tear at the upper hinge. Bookseller Inventory # 008585
