About this title

Chronicling forty years of the greatest moments in golf, a collection of photographs by one of America's greatest sports photographers captures the tension of the crowd, the skill of the players, and the rise of legends, including Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, Ben Hogan, Lee Trevino, Gary Player, and Tiger Woods.

About the Author:

Walter Iooss Jr. has more than 300 Sports Illustrated covers to his credit. Since completing his first assignment in 1959, Iooss has had an enormous influence on sports photography, capturing action in a way never seen before, using freer perspectives, and exploiting the dramatic potential of color film in creative ways. Long the go-to guy at Sports Illustrated, he recently celebrated his 40th year as its senior photographer. His work today includes sports journalism and advertising photography, and he is the photographer of the bestseller Rare Air and Abrams' Classic Baseball (2002), among many other books. Rick Reilly, a senior writer for Sports Illustrated, has been voted National Sportswriter of the Year eight times. His latest book, New York Times bestseller Who's Your Caddy?, chronicles his misadventures caddying for tour pros like Jack Nicklaus and David Duval. He is also the author of the best-selling compilation The Life of Reilly, and the cult classic golf novel, Missing Links, as well as five other books.
