First edition hardcover with dust jacket in near fine condition signed by both Wood and Carver. Red boards with gold lettering on the spine. There is a minimal amount of bumping to the top and bottom spine and page 353 has a slight crease at the bottom of the page. The binding and hinges are firm and the 462 pages are crisp, clean and unmarked. There is an index, a listing of Gordon Wood's coaching record, First Team All-State Players, All Time Football Squad, Wood's achievements and recognitions, as well as many black and white photos of the author's life. The mylar-covered non price-clipped dust jacket is in near fine condition with minimal creasing at the spine ends and corner.
