Contemporary sheep treated to look like tree calf, raised bands and red and black lettering pieces to spine. Some rubbing to extremities, corners bumped and somewhat worn, hinges cracked. Light toning, occasional annotations and underlining in pencil, small owner stamp and early signature to head of title page. A nice copy. $100. * Argentina's civil code was enacted in 1871 and, with numerous modifications, remains in force today. Our 1920 imprint shows how the code stood in the early 1920s.
