Hardcover, 276 pages in fine condition with very good dustjacket, light wear on jacket edges. Book has a post card from publisher Thames and Hudson in book stating this is a review copy was sent to the previous owner before book was published, card states publication date was going to be Feb. 21, 1983. Also in book is a multi-fold pamphlet with the same graphic design as the dustjacket , with the contents of the book, photos and excerpts from the book. There 267 illustrations in the book, 101 in color. In the book is the full range of his writings, mostly unobtainable now, together with reproductions not only of his paintings and prints, but also other visual documents which have been relevant to his work as an artist. His text ddiscusses his own paintings and prints, teaching, industrial design, technical developments in the entertainment industries in the 1950s and photography. this is an absorbing artist's working autobiography. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall; 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
