Printed by thge San Pasqual Press, Pasadena. xiii, 86 pages; 2 folding maps in back pocket; index; red cloth binding, dust jacket under mylar. Dr. Robert Honeyman (1747-1824) was a Scottish immigrant to Virginia in 1772. The journal edited here with an introduction by Philip Padelford is an account of his tour of the colonies north of Virginia. He visited Philadelphia, New York City, Newport (visiting Tory relatives), and Boston in 1775 just before the Revolutionary War began. Honyman was a moderate that supported the revolution and his comments are of interest. Later in life he became a noted Doctor and lived on a 900 acre estate. Fine clean copy.
