Frederick A. Praeger, Publisher, NY. The author helped defeat the occupying Japanese Army in WWII and then worked against the French for Vietnamese independence. After the French defeat in 1954 he worked for a democratic government. However, by then the Communist system set up by Ho Chi Minh and aided by Mai Tse-tung was fully set. After going through a re-eduation course the author fled the country. Very good copy of the first edition in a good dust jacket. The dust jacket has some edge wear and a sun stained spine.
