About this Item

This is the 1st edition/1st printing with the correct code(H-Z) on the copyright page. This is the 1st book by the premier poet of the Harlem Renaissance, who was at the time even better known than Langston Hughes. The book is without the extremely rare dust jacket, but is in very good condition with a previous owner's unobtrusive bookplate on the front paste-down endpaper. There is light wear to the extremities and slight age toning to the spine and boards. In all, this is a very nice copy of an important piece of American literature. Bookseller Inventory # PG-30-CP
