An English edition of 1752 was entitled: Twelve commentaries on fevers. Explaining the method of curing these disorders, upon the principle of Hippocrates. Dedicated to Richard Mead. Thomas Glass was born the son of a dyer at Tiverton. He graduated from Leyden with a medical degree in July 1731. In 1741 he became a physician of the Devon and Exeter Hospital at Exeter.
