Thomas J. McCoy is the President of the Employee Engagement Institute, a training and consulting firm based in Kansas City, MO.
Since the release of his groundbreaking book "Compensation and Motivation" in 1993, he has been a thought leader on the topic of organizational culture and the use of compensation and employee engagement to improve performance and profit.
He has over 35 years experience using measurement and reward systems to develop high-involvement, high-performance cultures for over 200 companies in the United States, Europe and South America.
He has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, quoted in Newsweek and nominated for SHRM's Michael J. Losey award for his work in the field of Human Resources. He designed and taught a "High Performance Workplace" seminar at George Washington University and is a frequent conference speaker.
In addition to "Employee Engagement" Mr. McCoy is the author of "Compensation and Motivation" and "Creating an Open-Book Organization".He holds a Lean Six Sigma Certification from Villanova University, a Coaching by Design Certification from the Johnston Institute and a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the University of Minnesota. He is a volunteer member of the Board of Directors for Support KC, a non-profit dedicated to helping other non-profits achieve their mission.
