About this Item

Title page, [8], 439pp, [5]. Lacks frontispiece. Frequent page misnumbering but pages are all in the proper order and without loss to text. Binding is perhaps later though still quite early full leather, wear to the covers though the binding is definitely strong and durable. Spine appears newer than boards. Internally very sound, no loss only occasional very light foxing to pages. Bookplate of Campbell R. Coxe on the inside front board, small stamp "Ex-Libris Michael A. Spencer No. 3169" lower right back of title page. 2 neat, hand written lines in Latin on the FFEP. Otherwise a remarkably nice copy. Bookseller Inventory # 5215
