Backstrip and upper board faded, joints lightly rubbed, internally fine. � An attractive and very readable edition of the great classic of angling literature here in a fine binding by Riviere & Son. A reprint of the 1897 Bodley Head edition. The text is a reprint of the fifth edition (the last to receive Walton's own revision) with notes, to which have been added several interesting appendices including "The Angler's Calendar" compiled by Hi Regan. New's illustrations depict views and maps of the places described by Walton and Cotton as well as numerous fish and ornaments.
