13 volumes, 8vo, cloth-gilt, dustwrappers. The uniform edition of the EQ crime works, incomplete as the series ran through the late works published in the '60s and '70s, but integral from the first published novel (1928's "The Roman Hat Mystery") through the 13th (1939's "The Four of Hearts"). A near-immaculate set (only just rescued from long-term storage): bright and clean cloth bindings; solid hinges & joints; clean edges; clean and unmarked texts and endpapers; clean, bright and almost entirely undamaged wrappers (some very light dust-soiling and some very, very light edge wear). N.B.: Volumes II and III ("The French Powder History" and "The Dutch Shoe Mystery") were issued in unlaminated jackets, the remainder in laminated; Volumes XII and XIII ("The Devil to Pay" and "The Four of Hearts" bear printed "Gollancz Vintage Detection" tags on their spines, the previous volumes were not so subscribed. A very, very handsome and presentable set. Extra postage will be asked. Bookseller Inventory #
