Complete 26 Volumes set of "The Complete Works of John Ruskin". Edition De Luxe, Limited edition, numbered 591 of 750. Published by Bryan, Taylor & Company, NY, 1894. Illustrated. The books measure 5.75" x 9". In publisher's original quarter leather binding over cloth boards. Top edge gilt. The leather was brittle and subsequently treated by a professional bookbinder with a consolidant to stop the red rot and with a conditioner to help the leather retain moisture. The set is in very good overall condition. Wear to the leather spines with loss at the top edges. Some soiling and staining to the boards, especially Volume 26. Some spotting to the fore-edges of the textblocks. Previous owner's bookplate on all front paste-downs. Foxing to the preliminary and terminal pages.
