The hard-to-find works of a seventeenth-century poet-humorist and pamphleteer, with facsimile title-pages, engravings and woodcuts. Some of the titles are: Martin Mark-well, Beadle of Brighton; The Knave of Hearts, Hail Fellow Well Met; The Night-Raven; A Fooles Bolt is Soone Shott; The Famous History of Guy Earle of Warwicke. There are also religious poems and essays ("Hel's Torment" etc.). Among the illustrations is a folding cut-out engraving of Adam and Eve. Each selection is individually paginated. This is a reprint of the 1880 edition published for the Hunterian Club. Volume III contains notes and glossary. Very good to near fine in green cloth. Rear hinge of Volume III is shaken.
