Synopsis: To fully understand the development of Druze history and theology it is essential to examine the facts in the context of the wider geographical as well as political theaters to include all countries where Druze communities struggled for survival under the accepted practice of Taqiyya. Knowledge of the Druze community has been confined to the recent history of Middle East as well as to the history of a few prominent families. This limited vision of the Druze has been expanded to include all countries where Druze communities struggled for survival under the accepted practice of Taqiyya (The disguise as members of the dominant religions in order to avoid persecution).

While the dynamics of Taqiyya helped the religion survive, it also helped concentrate religious, economic and political power in the hands of a few elites. As time passed, these powerful elites carried the Druze teachings, culture and people to settle in several principalities on the Mediterranean shores. However, the vast area beyond the Arab world was somehow ignored by the Arab Druze power centers.

The book provides sources for further research leading to a more comprehensive and deeper understanding of the development of Druze history and theosophy in a much wider geographical theater. It will also help discover and bring together several million Druze in present-day Druze communities all over the Globe. The book contains 540 pages listing over 5000 references, and including a very important, 52 page, chronology of history from 106 A. D. to 1919 A.D. The introduction to this Druze bibliography contains a synopsis of comparative religion as well as Dr. Muakasa’s contention that the Druze religion has its roots in India and Persia as well as in the Middle East. The bibliography includes references in English, Arabic, Persian, Urdu and other languages.

About the Author: Sahar Muakasa, can be best described as visionary, philanthropist, author, and mystic poet. Over the past 25 years Dr. Muakasa, has dedicated her efforts to locating and identifying Druze communities, and researching their history and literature, from the shores of Lebanon to the Ganges Valley and from the tip of Southern India to Russia’s Lake Baikal. She had developed this comprehensive bibliography of the Druze religion in order to inspire scholars and researchers to make new discoveries about the history of the Druze community and its religion. Being a mystic, her mind absorbs to cosmic rhythm and thrives on Unitarian theosophy.

She is the author of several books including "Terrorism and Political Destabilization" (1984), "Political Dynamics of Direct Foreign Investment" (1985 - She has developed ‘Sahar Law’ that governs the direct foreign investment in developing and developed countries in the context of political risk exposure), "Terrorism and Political Destabilization" (1986 2nd Revised Edition( "Galactic Polity and Business" (1988), as well a book of poetry "Love, Life, Rhythm" (1987 - A Collection of Mystic Poems). She is working to visualize a future society in which interplanetary social and political systems come into being.

Presently, she is the President of Utrade Group NY Inc., C.E.O. of Druze Research & Publications Institute and Chief Editor & Assistant Treasurer of the Druze Orphans & Charitable Organization, which she helped to establish in the United States.
