Book Description Hawthorn Books Inc., 1959. Rebound Hard Cover. Condition: Very Good -. No Jacket. First Edition Library Binding. The Concise Encyclopedia of World Railway Locomotives was edited by P. Ransome-Wallis. The book was published by Hawthorn Books Inc. in 1959 and is a stated First Edition. It's an ex-library copy in very good - condition but for the library markings and has no dust jacket. The minus is due to some scribbles on the front two loose end pages . . . as if someone was trying to get a pen started. It's not a small book. The book has 512 pages with an Index, a For Further Reading section, a Glossary of Locomotive Terms, a Table of Contents (an EXTENSIVE one), and both color and black-and-white illustrations and photographs throughout the book. I have to believe that if there's anything you want to know about older locomotives prior to 1959 . . . it's going to be in here. Thank you!. Seller Inventory # 005849
