Two outstanding naturalists share their enthusiasm and discoveriesabout 2 historic rivers of thoreau country- the Sudbury and the Assabet, which rise in adjoining swamps southwest of Concord, Massachusetts, set off in opposite directions, and come together to form the Concord river. Over a period of several years canoed and walked beside the rivers in all seasons, noting, photographing, and sketching the flora and fauna, and sharing their thoughts and concerns.
