Pp. xix, xi, 870; numerous black-and-white text figures (line-drawings and text-figures). Later green cloth, lettered in gilt on the spine and front cover (original printed wrappers bound in place), lg 8vo. This presents a facsimile of all of Boulenger's papers on Neotropical herpetology from 1870 to 1920. There are two tables of contents that accompany the work; the first covers parts 1-10 and the second covers parts 11-18. There is also a separate taxonomic index to the entire work at the end. Kraig Adler assembled the work and provides historical comments in the preface to each table of contents. There is also an introduction to the life and herpetological work of Boulenger by James C. Battersby in the first table of contents. From the series: Society for the Study of Amphibians and Reptiles Miscellaneous Publications. This volume is from the research library of herpetologist Kevin W. Marx with his signature on the title page. A very bright and clean copy in fine (as new) condition. Bookseller Inventory # 5931
