191pp. Rust cloth with black lettering and linear elements on spine; black and white large photo- illustrations of Dickens' "punch ladle" and "nutmeg grater" on endpapers. Dustwrapper with arange and tan wallpaper repeating pattern in background, with tan oval and overlapping 2 1/8" horizontal band on most of front cover with title lettering in orange and subtitle in black lettering across horizontal band, upper two-thirds of oval with tan-tinted black and white illustration of bespectacled, plump man enjoying glass of wine under tree, above a publicity buzz in black calligraphy: "Edward Hewett & W.F. Axton cordially invite you to attend a veritable feast of reason celebrating the pleasures of the flowing bowl"; a few very light coffee cup bottom-like splash/drip stains (appropriately!) on some of the tan at left lower cover background band (so matches in hue but just slightly darker tan) and a tiny bit at center front cover; 3/8" closed tear at top edge 2 3/8" to right spine: describes much worse than it is, but there you have it: Drink up and read: Now in mylar which forgives sins graciously. Signed and dated at foot of Dedication page below upper right dedication to 'Jean Peltier Hewett' and 'Anne Millard Axton': "Edward Hewett 11. 26. 83". No previous owner names.
