8vo hardcover in reddish-brown cloth boards with titles in gilt on front & spine. First Edition/First Thousand. Very Good/: Cover corners lightly bumped and spine ends bumped with some fraying to edges; light patch of discoloration/damp stain? to rear cover extends form top of spine to middle of top third of book-approx. 6" long x 1-1/2" at widest point; rubbing to top edge rear cover also. Front textblock beginning to crack a bit but sound and holding. Offsetting to ffeps & first 2 pages caused by 3 laid in newspaper articles about local copper mining (one article is from the Sunday Chicago Tribune dated Jan. 4 1914.) Text itself is clean & bright save one small 'error' notation written in pencil by prev. owner.
