A very scarce suite of pochoir illustrations by Paul-Eugene Mesples for contemporary productions of Ohnet's La Comtesse Sarah and Dumas' Francillon. Plates generally in very good condition with some tanning and some faint creases and marginal hand-soiling. They remain bright and attractive. Outer folio and inner text insert are both torn at folds but otherwise intact. A very scarce collection, not listed in Worldcat. From the "Le Costume au Theatre et al la Ville" series, which would later be shortened to "Le Costume au Theatre," and often featured contributions from Mesples and Steinlen, among others.
