About the Author:

Steven F. White was born in Abington, Pennsylvania in 1955 and was educated at Williams College and the University of Oregon. He is the author of "Las constelaciones de la historia" (Santiago, Chile), "Burning the Old Year," "For the Unborn," and "Paisagem com uma vela e abelhas assirias" (Florianpolis, Brazil). A translator of Federico Garca Lorca's "Poet in New York," he also has published bilingual anthologies of poetry from Nicaragua and Brazil. He is the author of the book of critical essays "Modern Nicarguan Poetry: Dialogues with France and the United States and co-editor of "Ayahuasca Reader: Encounters with the Amazon's Sacred Vine." He currently teaches in the Department of Modern Languages at St. Lawrence University.

Store Description

Pages Past is a small used and antiquarian bookshop holding 10,000-15,000 volumes. We are located a few blocks from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Most of our books are hardback, although we have a few bookcases of paperbacks with recent fiction and classic literature represented. We also have a fairly good collection of Eastern Philosophy & Religion (Buddhism, Taoism, Hinduism) as well as New Age. Most of these are recent paperbacks in nice condition. We have a good collection of antiquarian books in the fields of Americana, old leather bound books, and early religious and scholarly books. Shop hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays. We're closed on Sundays. We are always interested in buying quality books in very good condition.
