Decorative red paper over boards, red cloth backstrip; small 8vo (5.75x7.5 inches); approx. pp. 100, full of carefully handwritten notes, in black ink, on recto and verso; and including a printed map of France and calendar for two years (1882-1883). Splits along joints near tail of spine and hinges cracked (with resultant shaken binding); some light chipping along edges of boards. Internally bright and clean, and perfectly legible (even lovely) throughout.
