VERY SCARCE reprint of the 1840 edition with a new 17 page introduction by Khushwant Singh. Illustrated by 16 black & white engravings throughout including frontispiece. Book is in NEAR FINE condition with textured navy blue cloth binding with bright gilt lettering on spine. Spine tips and corners untouched. Previous owner's bookplate on right front endpaper otherwise Fine condition. Dustjacket is in VERY GOOD condition with mustard yellow cover with black illustration of three men resplendent in detailed costumes. Spine tips and corners lightly worn, sunned spine and there is a thin pocket of air between lamination and paper of dustjacket that runs down the middle. Mild rubbing. Bookseller Inventory # 005874
