About this Item

Original decorative morocco covers with gilt crown and gilt "N" on front and back covers very good; spine needs repairs, edge-worn and bottom edge split. Marbled endpapers fine; a.e.g. Internally nearly fine with 15 color engravings, portraits of the ladies of Napoleon's Court + an engraved, extra color title. A total of 16 engravings mostly from the originals of Gerard, but also from David, and Ary Scheffer. Portraits are fine. Only one blank page has a little foxing. 416 pages.
