Book's copyright page states "First Edition" with number line "85 86 87 88 89 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1" at bottom of page. Right FEP is completely filled with large black marker inscription "For Ben Stern with great respect - from one writer to another (signed) Colleen McCullough." Book is in FINE condition with plum colored textured cloth binding with bold and bright gilt lettering on spine. Book's spine tips and corners are true with binding and insides tight, bright, clean and unmarked. NO previous owner's or library markings, NO foxing, NOT a remainder or book club edition. DW is covered by Brodart, with price clipped in NEAR FINE condition. DW's front cover has burgundy background with grey cross behind bold white and beige lettering. DW's spine tips and corners are true or very gently bumped but not worn. There is very mild edge wear on top edge and covers are rubbed otherwise DW is also Fine. Book's subtitle on front cover reads: "A Novel by the author of THE THORN BIRDS." This scarce inscribed copy with Association inscription is a Fine collectible that will make a handsome addition to your shelves.
