Description:

Green cloth gilt with Square binding with clean interior. Signature in pencil of Tripp on the title page, though not known if it his signature. There is, though, a handwriten inscription "regards of the Author' on the front end paper in contemporary ink, which is how Tripp was known to have signed his books. Green cloth rubbed with moderate edge wear, particularly at spine ends. Presentation bookplate of St. John's College, where Tripp was a professor, on front paste down identifying this volume as #1360 of an unknown print run. Presented to the library on Aug 10th, 1874. Pages lightly tanned with just a hint of sporadic foxing. Bookseller Inventory #
