Criticisms and Readings of Eminent Authors"
Jeanette Throckmorton (b. 1883, d. 1963) had a multi-faceted life, both professionally and personally. She was a medical doctor, practicing with her pioneer physician father. She gave lectures for the Iowa Department of Health on the subject of venereal disease, delivering 460 talks to audiences totaling 66,540 women and girls. She was the Librarian of the Iowa State Medical Society. She was an accomplished violinist, quilter and gardener. She collected antiques. This Master's thesis was done by Dr. Throckmorton after becoming a physician. Multiple paging; bound in half leather with gilt lettering and raised bands to the spine (8 1/2 x 12 inch). Mimeographed. Some rubbing to corners and slightly split top right spine, but a very handsome copy. Submitted towards a Master's of Arts Degree at Iowa Wesleyan University in 1909.
