Ornately bound small octavo hardback, blind-stamped dark brown boards with elaborate gilt design to spine depicting Magna Charta, Rose, Thistle and Shamrock.Binding firm and square with strongly sewn text block. Dusty, untrimmed top edge. Clean end-papers with no inscription and clean throughout. A little scattered spotting to "Additional Elections" section at rear (three leaves) probably due to inferior paper stock used. Contains Biographical Sketches of Eminent British Statesmen and an alphabetical list of all Members for July 1841, the General Election of 1847 (Gains and losses etc.), along with over thirty short pieces on such significant Parliamentary topics as: Andover Election 1768, Burke's speech at Bristol, Andrew Marvell, Election of John Wilkes, Expenses of R.B. Sheridan, Westminster Election 1784, population summaries, National Debts, etc., along with listings for both Scottish and Irish Elections. 20% price reduction now applied.
