About the Author:

Fred J. Bognar lived the life of a humble renaissance man. Born in 1914, he served in the United States Navy Air Force during World War II, toiled as a skilled laborer for Kurtis Wright, and retired to a life of leisure and the passionate pursuit of the recreational inclinations and artistic endeavors he so dearly loved.

Beneath the long list of his hobbies and interests, Bognar was deeply driven to write. His life's work, Cry of the Whippoorwill, was his intellectual and creative outpouring for a great many years. Until he was no longer physically able to write, he dedicated himself to the quality, characters, and epic journey within the story, and as a result, he created a masterpiece that will be enjoyed for generations to come.

Published posthumously, Cry of the Whippoorwill is a tribute to its author and allows his memory, legacy, and spirit to live on in his work.
