About the Author: Donald W. Parry, Ph.D., is Assistant Professor of Hebrew, Brigham Young University. He works as an editor of the Dead Sea Scrolls publication project, assisting Frank Moore Cross with the Samuel texts. Among Parry's published books is Temples of the Ancient World: Ritual and Symbolism
Stephen D. Ricks, Ph.D. (1982) in Near Eastern Religions, University of California at Berkeley and Graduate Theological Union, is Professor of Hebrew and Semitic Languages, Brigham Young University. He has published on Semitic philology and temples in the Ancient Near East.
