About the Author:

Lyal LeClair Fox was born and raised on a farm near New Sharon, Iowa, during the depression years of the 30's. He graduated from Lacey Consolidated High School in 1948. Lyal enjoyed hearing stories about family members that were involved in the Civil War and other exciting events they experienced during that period of American history. He first wrote the genealogical history of the Fox family, then went on to write about the experiences they, and friends of theirs, experienced during that early American history. All of his books are based on true stories or inspired by actual events. They are exciting, heartbreaking and romantic, and will be some of the most entertaining books you will ever read.
