Book Description Hillman-Curl, NY, 1938. Hardcover. Book Condition: VG. 1st American Edition. First U.S. edition bound in red cloth with black lettering. Appears to have been an Ex-Lending Library copy as there are rub marks on the fr ont endpaper where the dust jacket was once glued down and a portion o f the inner flap to the rear dust jacket is still attached to the endp aper. The book has bright covers but has rubs to the corners and spine tips. Frays at the lower right corner of the front cover. The dust ja cket appears to have been slightly trimmed and is entirely covered on the verso with cardboard packing tape as reinforcement. Rubbing to the edges of the panels. Chipping at the spine tips. Dust soiling to the rear panel. A servicable copy and quite scarce in dust jacket. Indian cult attempts to destroy England through supernatural and magical mea ns.
