About this Item

agriculture, machinery, Deering Harvester Co., 'Ideal Giant' mower ANOTHER OF MY BOYHOOD PETS. DIRECTIONS FOR SETTING UP AND OPERATING THE DEERING IDEAL GIANT MOWER, DEERING (IHC) HARVESTER CO., CHICAGO, ILL. I had a lot of experiences operating one of these old 5 foot mowers! Had a hell of a time lifting the bar to clear obsticles as I was too light, especially if it had a load of hay on it. Once again old Jack would act up but old Sally would not go along with him. The mower was hard on horses and you would have to change teams at noon. Mowing hay is one of the most satisfying jobs on the farm or ranch. Bookseller Inventory # 30298
