About this Item

Slim 8vo, pp. 63. "An epic poem on the life and times of the early settlers of Western Canada, complete with glossary and historical notes." Bound in brown paper over boards, with an printed title and woodcut on the front board. Rough trimmed edges to special stock rag content paper. Printed in a limited edition of 968 copies, of which this is number 282. Signed by both Robert Watson (the author), and W. J. Phillips (the artist). Glossary and Historical Notes at end. Very faint smudge to middle of spine where book was grasped to remove from slipcase; otherwise the book is in pristine condition. The slipcase is present and shows expected shelf wear, but has no major flaws and is still perfectly serviceable. Copies of this exceptional item are becoming increasingly scarce, as collectors prize them (and break them) for the remarkable Phillips woodcuts. Bookseller Inventory # 041808

Shipping Terms:

Standard shipping costs are based on one book, and appropriate packaging, weighing together no more than 2.2 lb, or 1 kg. If your book order exceeds the standard weight, or is oversized, extra shipping charges will be required, and can be quoted in advance, upon request. Canadian customers: we can ship either by CanPar (faster - but CanPar does not deliver to apartments or postal box numbers), or by Canada Post. GST (5% of the total cost of your order) MUST be collected from Canadian orders. American customers: our courier takes U.S.-bound packages to the nearest U. S. Post Office to be mailed every second Wednesday. This service reduces shipping costs and does not result in any appreciable delay. However, if you are in a hurry to receive your order, please let us know, and we can quote options for expedited delivery.
