About this title

Have you ever met someone for the very first time, yet you are certain you know them? Have you ever been introduced to someone and had an immediate dislike for them, even before they speak? Why is that? Is it because you are intuitive or, could it be you have met before, in another time, another place or another life? Detective Michael Shannon is wondering the same thing? He is on the trail of a serial killer that is dumping mutilated corpses in the park. Shannon can explain his feelings and motivations to capture this animal that preys on human flesh and his overwhelming desire to do his job and protect society. But, what he cannot understand is the pain he experiences whenever he is in the proximity of the crime scene or one of the Slashers victims. Neither Shannon's wife Nikki or his fellow officers can understand the metamorphosis that is taking over Shannon, turning him from the perfect policeman into a raving mad man. An irrational cop bent on hunting down the killer at any cost, even at the expense of losing his wife and career. Is this duty, or is it something more profound? A vendetta that must be settled from another life? Maybe its simply coincidence and Shannon recognizes the killer because he knows or works with him? Or, is Shannon really losing his mind?
