About this title:

Synopsis: Dances and Wars of Genes, Drugs and Diseases is a short story book about health issues, genes, drugs, diseases and some other subjects, with flares of romance, dance and music. Stories take place in very different parts of the world and cultural environments. Stories essentially focus on human relations, but they sometimes also provide easy to understand information on various diseases, related genes and drugs, world health problems and some very useful statistical information about health issues of the world.

About the Author: Eser Ayanoglu started writing poetry when he was a child. He later switched to short stories and novels. His second short story book is expected to be published in 2008. His hobbies include writing, world traveling, world music and dance. He currently teaches fusion international dance in the San Francisco Bay Area, to support international friendship. Dr. Ayanoglu, an author of more than 30 health related articles published in internationally recognized scientific journals, received his doctoral degree in pharmaceutical sciences working with Prof. Ayhan Ulubelen, a leading scientist on natural medicinal products. Ayanoglu then worked for years with Prof. Carl Djerassi of Stanford University, California, the developer of the birth control pill and now a well recognized author on science-in-fiction. Eser Ayanoglu also worked with Prof. Douglas Brutlag of Stanford University, a well known scientist in the areas of computational biology, medical and bioinformatics, as well as genomics. Other than Stanford University, Ayanoglu worked in various companies in Silicon Valley including Pharmagenesis, Ingenuity Systems, Novation, Iconix Pharmaceuticals-Iconix Biosciences and GenPharmics, where he is the founding director.
