About this Item

Daniel Boorstin's Copy of Kennedy or Nixon: Does it Make Any Difference? by Arthur Schlesinger, Jr. The 6 by 9 inch hardcover book is 51 pages and in good condition. The black boards have some fraying to the bottom edge but the inside text pages are clean and without markings. However, it is from the Smithsonian library with call number tag to the spine and barcode to the back cover with associated stamping on the title page, dated 1976. The dust jacket is tucked inside but is faded and has some creases. This is Daniel Boorstin's copy, with bookplate present inside. Daniel J. Boorstin was the twelfth librarian of congress from 1975 until 1987, appointed under President Ford. He was also an accomplished author of more than 20 books, contributing much to the fields of sociology and history. He was awarded a Pulitzer Prize in 1973, for his book, “The Americans: The Democratic Experience.”. Bookseller Inventory # Boorstin-118
