"Dawn O'Hara, The Girl Who Laughed" by Edna Ferber. First edition, sixth printing with its original dust jacket. Published by Frederick A. Stokes Company, New York, 1911. Comes with its exceedingly rare dust jacket which lists all advertised titles published on or before 1911. This provides evidence that it is most likely a first state dust jacket since there are no later printings mentioned on the dust jacket. The dust jacket is in overall good plus to very good minus condition. There is minor to moderate chipping along the perimeter edges. There is a small piece missing from the middle of the spine. Minimal wear to the panels. The book is in very good plus condition. The emerald green cloth boards are extremely well preserved with crisp edges. The dark green decoration on the front board and the gilt lettering is bright and clear. A small piece of the cloth is torn at the bottom edge of the front board. The textblock is clean and fresh.
