Store Description

Our aim is to provide a quality service to people who are looking for interesting new and used books, be they collectors, readers, librarians or whoever. We specialise in Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror, but we also offer books in other categories. All too often, buying at a distance is a frustrating experience in which the pleasure of anticipation is replaced by the annoyance of time wasted. Before setting out to be sellers, we spent a long time as buyers and are familiar with the issues that can arise. In order to overcome these issues, we have adopted the following policies: 1. Our first and foremost consideration is the accurate description of the condition of the books and other items that we offer for sale. Only through your own experience or upon the recommendation of others can we prove this point. 2. Our second focus of attention is quality of packaging. There really is no excuse for a book to be damaged in transit unless it is treated to extreme conditions by the delivery service. We pride ourselves upon our robust packaging which usually consists of a cardboard box or book wrapper and plenty of bubble wrap. For higher value items we may also use chips and thin polystyrene sheets. Jiffy bags are not normally used. Smaller items such as digest format magazines and ephemera will be sent in stiff card envelopes. Where possible we will use recycled and/or recyclable packaging materials. 3. Third on our list is speed of dispatch. You have paid for your item(s) and you want it/them as soon as possible within the constraints of your budget. We aim to dispatch upon the second full working day after receipt of payment at the very latest. If you require a delivery service that is not offered by default, we are more than willing to oblige. 4. Finally, there is communication. If there are any problems with your order, we will keep you informed. We are always open to questions, suggestions and requests for further images. Please feel free to contact us at any time should the need arise. Thank you for your interest in Earthborn Books. We hope that we can be of service to you soon.
