The cloth on the corners are beginning to rip. Tears are beginning to form on the inside hinges. Pages are clean and binding is tight. Includes several b/w photographs and illustrations. A collection of letters from a son to his father. At the time they were written, exploration of New Guinea was forbidden. The island was too dangerous. However, Ben Boyce was given permission to do so on the agreement that he would write a letter once a week during his expedition.
