HE COMMENTS ON: "The Brass Check" wich is slumping in sales; his new book titled "Mobland: A tale of the Second Coming" which was released under a changed title "They Call Me Carpentier: A Tale of the Second Coming"; the second part of "The Book of Life" which has now been completed; the need of funds to "To carry out my program which will take about five thousand dollars.", etc. Text runs to 50 lines, 9 paragraphs. OCLC lists 24 such "Dear Friend" letters dating from 1919-1939 held in institutional libraries, but this one is not recorded. Old folds but in fine condition. Bookseller Inventory # 11823
