Synopsis: Raising a child is never easy. Raising a child with a disability shared with virtually no one else in the world...is a bit more challenging. It is the author’s profound hope that everyone, whether living with a child with disabilities or not, learns that with hope, courage, faith and a large dose of humor anything is possible. This non-traditional memoir takes readers through the author’s life using journal entries, reflections, stories and facts. The frustrations, fears and joys of her journey with Ryan illustrate the desire of every parent—to raise a child in the best, most loving way possible. This book is meant as an emotional and practical resource for those who care for and love someone with a disability. Although, truly, it is a book for everyone.

About the Author: Theresa Jeevanjee teaches mathematics and computer science at Saint Louis University and for MEGSSS (Mathematics Education for Gifted Secondary School Students). She enjoys running, painting, cooking, and taking ballet classes. She is an associate in the CSJ (Congregation of St. Joseph) community and is active in three prayer groups. Her volunteer work includes tutoring mathematics, helping with the theatre and chorus costumes for her daughter’s high school, and serving on the Collegium board (organization that supports faith and the intellectual life). She and her husband live in Webster Groves, Missouri, with their children, Ryan, Kiran, and Lauren, and their two dogs, Ebony and Kuki.
