About this Item

[5th Thousand 2/- net]. Dorothy Anna Maria Webb nee Stephens born Leicester 1875, died Exmouth, Devon 1957. Destined to become the first wife of Captain David Webb, they divorced in 1913 on the grounds of Annie Georgina Walsh affair with Captain David Webb. During Dorothy's life, she wrote books and articles for various magazines and wrote under the pens names of Jermyn March and Christopher Reeve. Undated but Copac show it as [1926]. Book - in Very Good blue boards with gilt lettering and decoration to the spine - light marking to the boards and a touch faded to the extreme top edge of the inside of the front board, a touch rubbed to the corners and light bumping and rubbing to the extreme ends of the spine, light sunning to the spine but the lettering still bright and distinct. Contents, browning to the pages, previous owner's name to the front paste down otherwise clean and tightly bound. Dust Jacket - Very Good - a nice bright colourful jacket - just some light wear to the extreme edges and extreme corners, light marking/light grubbiness to the white back ground of the jacket, light creasing to the back edge of the back of the jacket. An Extremely Attractive Copy of this Rare Crime novel from the 'Golden Age' Complete With Its remarkably bright clean and vividly illustrated dust jacket.
