Bailey relaxes his vigilance and is ambushed by killers working for the illegal drug lords and is nearly killed. When Bailey has recovered, he returns to duty in the middle east working alone. Because the Agency identifies a security leak, he is assigned deep cover status by his bosses at the CIA. Bailey eventually requests a female partner, Sarande. About the Author:

James DeVries retired from the Navy after serving 21 years, mostly in the submarine force and Special Warfare Group. Following the Navy, Jim worked 16 years for Fluor Daniel, as a Project Manager on telecommunications systems. Now fully retired Jim spends his free time involved with amateur radio and writing. Jim and his wife Claire live in Salem, Oregon in the summer and Mesa, Arizona in the winter.
